Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) are emerging as a major threat to tomato production in Nepal's protected cultivation systems.
To identify effective management strategies, I conducted a research study at the Horticulture Development Resource Center, Kaski, evaluating biological, botanical, chemical, and grafting approaches. The study revealed promising results for the biological control agent Paecilomyces lilacinus and grafted tomato plants on Solanum sisymbriifolium rootstock. These findings contribute to sustainable nematode management and improved tomato productivity. I am pleased to share the abstract and key outcomes of this research below.
